Hi, I’m Ben…

Now that you’ve seen what I can do. Why not take some time to get to know the man behind the pixels?...

The past? I guess you could say I was destined to become a ‘creative’... by the age of three I had mastered Lego; I assembled my first computer when I was twelve and I designed my first website at the age of thirteen (MS Frontpage FTW).

As a product of the 80’s, I’ve been surrounded by new digital technology all of my life; ideal for a kid who was more excited by the release of the new Palm Pilot than he was about the opening of the new sweetshop in town (True story) Yes. I was, by every definition of the word, a ‘geek’...

The present? …and in many ways I still am! - I’ve replaced Lego bricks with pixels, computer parts with pre-built Apple Macs and MS Frontpage with raw, hand-coded HTML, CSS & Jquery. But my passion to create, construct and remain at the cutting-edge of technology is still there.

I currently work full-time as a Senior Web/Graphic Designer for a large non-profit organisation based in Leicester, UK. In addition to my full-time work, I also take-on the odd freelance project. I view these projects as opportunities to expand and refine my skill set, which so far, have helped me with my career progression… plus I absolutely love doing them. I couldn’t imagine doing anything else.

Digital design is not just hobby or a job for me, it’s a passion.  (A cliché, I know. But it’s the truth)

The future? Well. Who knows? I’m always looking for opportunities to fuel my passion for design and technology. The way in-which the web is evolving, with new standards emerging daily, really excites me. I’m very proud to be a member of the ever-strong creative community and I hope that I will be able to continue to ‘create’ and keep doing what I love for a long time to come.

If you'd like to connect with me or find out more about me and my work. I'm pretty active on all of these social networks;
